You can probably fill in this sentence with all kind of quips and quotes from your childhood memories. If it wasn't your mom, your dad "had a million of 'em", right?! Perhaps dad quoted Vince Lombardi on a regular basis?
One of my mother's favorite quips was the inspiration for this 2MyHero US Navy greeting card. "If I had a nickel for every . . . I'd be a rich woman". She never aspired to retire in Hawaii, but we think retiring in Hawaii is a pretty good idea. Sea turtles . . . Sandy beaches . . . Temperatures that stay consistently warm . . . Tropical fruits and vegetation . . . But, as your mother probably also used to say, "It ain't cheap".
2MyHero loves creating military greeting cards that make people laugh. We've seen lots of people laugh when they read this card. We've also heard, "Now THAT'S funny!" We hope you and the recruit in your life will enjoy the humor infused in this card.
If you've read our About Page you know that it was our nephew who deployed to Iraq several years ago that inspired the creation of 2MyHero. He had a part in the creation of this card also. His observation was that pushups were not just for boot camp. He still painfully remembers doing A LOT of pushups at basic. But, that's another story.
We make it our mission to creatively reach beyond the typical imagery found on greeting cards for military. We want to express a depth of understanding that will help bridge the gap between those of us who are civilians to the men and women we love who are or were at one time in military service.
We've learned that military members are very loyal to their branch of service. That's why ALL of our cards are licensed. If you're not sure what that means, here's a link to our FAQ page that explains what licensing means for us.
If you know a young man or woman heading off to boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Base, you'll want to purchase one of the six packs so you can encourage them at every stage - during bootcamp, at graduation, there's one for their RDC and depending on how often you write them at boot camp, you may have one or two left over to send after graduation on first assignment. If you haven't heard the term RDC yet, check out our blog that explains that acronym.
If I had is available individually, or in these six packs:
